ACTIVITIES

BLUE HEN MARKETING CLUB

The Blue Hen Marketing Club is an Registered Student Organization at the University of Delaware aimed at providing resources that make the search for marketing news, jobs, and internships easier. We strive to become a network of marketing students and faculty that can supplement classroom learning and provide the opportunity to network with professionals in a relaxed social atmosphere. We are a collegiate affiliate of the American Marketing Association.


I served on the Blue Hen Marketing Executive Board for the 2021-2022 school year as the Director of Fundraising and UDance. In this role I am responsible for raising funds for the club's long term goals, such as attending the American Marketing Association Conference in New Orleans, as well as short term goals by organizing interactive fundraising events to get members more involved. I am also responsible for overseeing the club's participation in UDance and have successfully helped to raise a collective total of $2,697 for UDance 2022.


During my sophomore year, I served as a member of the Consulting Committee in which we participated in weekly meetings and worked with local companies to help promote their business using digital marketing strategies.


During my freshman year I was a member of the Events & Promotions Committee, where we were responsible for creating flyers and Instagram stories for upcoming club events and fundraisers. I was one of the students selected to represent the University of Delaware the American Marketing Association Conference in New Orleans, however, the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


 

CHI OMEGA FRATERNITY, RHO LAMBDA CHAPTER

I served as the Chapter's Alumni & Career Opportunities Chair.      

In this role I am responsible in acting as a liaison between our Chapter and the alumnae and have started the first ever Rho Lambda Alumni Mentor program where I actively match sisters with alumni in their major or field of interest. I am also responsible for informing sisters of  job and internship opportunities, and have held a Resume Review event where I reviewed chapter members' resumes.

LORI'S HANDS

UDance is a student-run philanthropic organization at the University of Delaware. Founded in 2007, UDance has been dedicated to fighting childhood cancer ever since. We raise awareness in our community through social media and on and off campus events, while providing immediate and direct financial aid to families affected by childhood cancer.


I am currently a member on the UDance 2023 Executive Board, where I serve as the Productivity & Wellness Chair. In this role I report to the Co-Executive Directors with any issues and will be responsible for both Executive Board accountability and social-emotional wellness. My responsibilities include taking minutes at every meeting, sending minutes out to the board within 24 hours, creating and managing the Google Drive and Google Calendar, designing merchandise and managing all sales updating the entire board on all aspects of communication, taking attendance at meetings and events, and overseeing excuse and liability forms. I also manage the UDance office as well as hold optional bi-weekly study hours for Executive Board members. Additionally, I facilitate social events to encourage team bonding.


I was a member on the UDance 2022 Executive Board, where I serve as the Permits & Organization Liaison Chair. In this role I was responsible for obtaining permits for students interested in going canning as well as assigning permitted locations to respective organizations. I was also responsible for managing all communication with Greek and campus organizations (RSOs, Student Groups, Sports teams, etc.) interested in going canning. Our team manages the canning interest form and canning email, and are also in the process of planning canning events throughout the

year!


From August 2020 to April 2021, I have served as a member on the Community Outreach Committee where we had weekly meetings to discuss ideas on how to increase engagement and awareness of UDance throughout the community. In this position I was responsible for creating weekly Facebook posts for UDance Alumni, as well as sending out email newsletters to 1,000 Faculty & Alumni by using Mailchimp.


From October 2019 to March 2020, I was an Engagement Coordinator for my Residence Hall, which meant that I was responsible for giving presentations about UDance and hosting fundraising events for my residence hall. That year, UDance was successful in raising $13,101,909.29 in hopes of finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Lori's Hands builds mutually beneficial partnerships between community members with chronic illness and college students, fostering empathy, connection, and resilience. Students provide practical assistance to support community members' independence at home, and community members share their health and life experiences to support students' learning. 


Since June 2020, I have been a volunteer for Lori's Hands in which I provide contactless service to elderly community members. We have transitioned to virtual services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so am responsible for making weekly phone calls to my clients to check up and support them during this time.
